SSH Telnet
Find out just what SSH is and also how you may control an entire server by using it.
Secure Shell, also known as SSH, is a cryptographic network protocol that is used to execute commands on a remote machine or to exchange info between a web server and a client. Because the data exchanged by the two sides is protected, a 3rd party simply cannot intercept it, which makes SSH a favorite means of controlling an Internet hosting account. The commands which may be executed are determined by the type of hosting service. On a shared web server, in particular, the possibilities are limited because you will not have root access to the hosting server, so you could simply create/move/delete files, create and unpack archives, import and export databases, etc. These are all actions which are carried out inside the shared hosting account and don't require a higher level of access. Through a virtual or a dedicated server, you'll have the option to install server-side software or to restart the hosting server or only a certain service (web server, database server, etc.). SSH commands are submitted through a command line, and if you don't use a UNIX-like Operating System, there are a number of applications for other OSs, that you can use to connect to the remote web server as well.

SSH Telnet in Shared Website Hosting
If the
shared website hosting package which you’ve selected through the signup process includes SSH access by default, you'll be able to activate this feature with only a mouse click within your Hepsia CP. If you have selected a different package, the SSH access function can be added via the Upgrades menu and it will become available instantly. All the details you need to connect will be conveniently listed within the SSH section of the Control Panel - the hostname, the username and the port number. You can also set what password to use from the same location and you shall be able to change it anytime. All the commands which are allowed are listed in the Help articles that we've prepared for you, along with examples of the syntax which you must use. An additional advantage of allowing SSH access to your account is that you shall be able to upload files via an SFTP connection.

SSH Telnet in VPS Web Hosting
You shall be able to use SSH to handle your content regardless which
Linux virtual private servers you select when you sign up, as all our packages come with this function as standard. You'll not have to add or enable anything manually - as soon as your website hosting server is ready and you get the Welcome email with the login info, you'll be able to connect and start working on your sites or any software you want to install and run on the server. You'll have root-level access to the VPS and because the account shall be isolated from all the other accounts in the physical server, you will be able to do anything you need without any restrictions. You could set up any application which you need and which shall work on a Linux-based hosting server, reboot any software server (web, database, game, media, etc.) and manage your files and databases efficiently.
